Dear Reader,
I hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to provide a quick update concerning the MightyFly crowdfunding raise, which now has a very limited window to invest.
Despite the deal going live right around the Thanksgiving holiday, the Reg CF has already filled up $3 million of the maximum amount. That’s pretty incredible considering how busy most of us are during the week before and after, and we know a lot of our fellow subscribers didn’t have the chance to get through the MightyFly research.
For those that haven’t had a chance to review, you can find the published research here.
I’ve been keeping in close contact with the CEO of MightyFly, who is very excited to see the response. One of the most interesting developments since I published my research is that a major commercial logistics partner is now engaged with MightyFly around incorporating hydrogen fuel cell technology, specifically a hydrogen fuel cell-based hybrid power train, in the MightyFly autonomous aircraft.
There is so much interest in hydrogen fuel cell as a source of power for aviation. This didn’t surprise me one bit when I heard about these new discussions. And what makes me optimistic about this engagement is that the logistics partner is already developing infrastructure for local clean hydrogen fueling from large rooftop solar arrays. Furthermore, this logistics provider is already employing thousands of hydrogen-based forklifts at its own facilities.
And the best part is, using solar energy to produce hydrogen fuel means that the process is actually clean.
Now, to be clear, MightyFly couldn’t tell me who the logistics provider was, as it is confidential. But naturally, I did my own research. And my research indicates that Amazon is the most likely candidate.
Amazon partnered with Plug Power to produce clean hydrogen on-site at distribution locations specifically to provide hydrogen fuel for Amazon’s hydrogen powered forklifts.
My research also yielded that Amazon has more than 17,000 hydrogen fuel celled forklifts across more than 80 fulfillment centers in the U.S. This is why I suspect that my analysis is correct. Needless to say, if/when MightyFly commercializes a major agreement with Amazon, the company is going to take off, literally and figuratively.
The integration of hydrogen fuel cells into the power train for autonomous flight will make MightyFly an even more compelling partner in the industry and give the company an even greater competitive advantage.
I have just spent the last few weeks working on my research and forecasting for the markets in 2026. The eVTOL and autonomous flight sector will be one of the most exciting sectors of 2026, and one that most aren’t paying close attention to. With the regulatory tailwinds that I outlined in my research, this market is going to catch a lot of institutional investors by surprise.
Given the level of interest in MightyFly and how quickly the round has gone, MightyFly has decided to close down the Reg CF raise on December 18, which is next Thursday. That means that there are only a few days left to invest.
As a reminder, once the deal closes, there will be no way to gain an allocation to MIghtyFly’s raise.
And from my research and discussions with the CEO, the next round of financing will be institutional, so this is the last chance for self-directed investors to gain access to this compelling company.
If you’re interested, please don’t delay. I have no control over when the deal closes, and this is a hard deadline.
